One of my favorite drives in America is Zion National Park - Bryce Canyon. Every place along the SR-9 is beautiful. On the way to Zion, I dipped in Sand Hollow to go kayaking and cliff jumping. Then, rented a boat to go wake surfing with family and friends in Quail Creek State Park.
I spend a lot of time with my family out in Hurricane. There been a recent Travel & Tourism effort to rebrand the area as Greater Zion and I can see piggybacking off the great name of Zion. For clarity, I mention this region to include: St. George, Hurricane, Washington, Zion and Southern Utah.
I love Checkerboard Mesa.

As you exit the Mt. Carmel Tunnel (East entrance) there's a parking lot of the south side of the road to HIKE the Zion Canyon Overlook Trail for angelic views

The road I drive the most is Los Angeles - St. George.
Along the way, I pass the World Famous Barstow Outlets, Baker (Alien Jerky and Big Thermometer), Las Vegas, and that weird part of the desert where people do weird shit no one repeats.
Then St. George - Salt Lake City.
