Best of LA

Updated: Mar 22

Of all the cities in the world, LA is one I feel most at home.

I was born here and being back feels like a homecoming to me. I scout locations all over the world as a Location Scout in the Location Managers Guild International™), Ambassador of West Hollywood, Writer for Spotted by Locals and here's my list of the best things to do in LA:

LA: Things To Do:

Lay on a Beach: Every time I travel, I want to experience the most unique thing an area has to offer. For LA it's nature. Despite all the colorful humans here, nature is the most vibrant thing LA has going on everyday of the year. The weather maintains an 88 degree average which lends itself to flowers all year around. From beaches to mountains, my favorite thing to do is to rest and relax in nature.

My favorite beaches are: Point Dume, Leo Carillo, Laguna. Hot Tip: You can still light a bonfire at Dockweiler (closest to LAX) & Venice is still the beach to see and be seen (at Gold's Gym, the skatepark, and busters on the Boardwalk.

The most beautiful beach you can hike, climb, and relax on is Point Dume in Malibu.

Drive

PCH

PCH is the best road to drive in America. The PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) lines the ocean from Dana Point - Mendocino.

Sunset Blvd

Driving along Sunset, there's Chateau Marmont, The Laugh Factory, a hot pink Mexican joint called Pinches Tacos (delicious), The World Famous Comedy Store and a string of hotels with rooftop views. I just love to drive. Here are more iconic drives in LA:

Route 66

Santa Monica Blvd

Mulholland Drive

Visit

Chinese TCL Theater

Navigate to Hollywood & Highland. It's a circus, but it's the walk of stars baby! On this street, there's El Capitan, The Dolby Digital Theater, Grauman's Chinese Theater and the celebrity cement hand & foot prints including: Steven Spielberg, Eddie Murphy & Whoopi Goldberg.

Forest Lawn Glendale

Forest Lawn is LA (& America's) most boujee cemetery. Here is where Michael Jackson, Walt Disney & Elizabeth Taylor lay. Hollywood stars and Renaissance art. Home of the largest frame painting in the world: Jan Styka's "The Crucifixion and the Resurrection."
